This post is something less than a freelance post of me giving you small tips and insights. I would say it’s mostly a personal or even a therapy post… is something like that even exists. I wonder how many of you freelance designers have been experiencing stress. I bet a lot. And if you’re wondering if it ever goes away, oh boy, it never does.
There are always things to be stressed about and i can imagine each freelancer has hers / his reasons. For me lately it has been that i’m pushing enough myself, but feeling that i’m not pushing enough myself. So odd, i cannot even put it into words. From one side i feel that there’s a lot of things to handle at the same time while expanding, and from the other, that i’m not doing much.
I’ve sat hours thinking how to make this post useful to you, how to give you a tip if your experiencing stress that gets under your skin but each case is unique. One thing that helps me out, is shutting my laptop and with it every thought i have of work when evening comes. My rules are clear, don’t think about work, don’t think about anything that stresses you out, and if you do while you go to sleep, start thinking about cats and unicorns!
