Hi Cocorrina fans! I don't know if I could be ANY more excited to be chatting you today, while Corina and her hubby are spending some much needed time frolicking around, loving each other.
I normally write over at Maddie Richardson - A Lifestyle Blog, but today I am taking over Corina's lovely space, and I couldn't be more honored.
My first thought, when I was racking my brain for something to share with you today, I was searching for something that would be lovely to look at and would tell you a little bit about myself. And then... Boom. I thought of it. A beautiful and delicious cocktail. There are very few things I enjoy more than a beautiful and delicious cocktail. Especially one that reps for my home state (Georgia) So today, I am coming at you with, what I like to call, the peach fuzz fizz.
1 // 1/4 of a peeled peach
2 // 2 oz of good gin
3 // 4 big leaves of basil (and basil ice cubes)
4 // 1 tsp of agave
5 // Splash of Pellegrino
First you will want to muddle the peaches and basil together with the agave. AKA, squish it up until you can spell the basil fragrantly caressing your nose.
Then you are going to want to fill your glass with ice cubes. I went ahead and made basil ice cubes, because I stole that genius idea from a restaurant a bit ago. They aren't completely necessary, but they will definitely help you feel like a legitimate mixologist. So do with that knowledge what you will.
On top of the ice cubes and muddled mixture, you will want to pour your gin, and then top it off with the Pellegrino. Stir with a long spoon, and prepare to have your mind blown.
This has been one of my favorite drinks so far this summer because a) peaches are deliciously in season b) I love to be able to use herbs in my cocktails, and c) gin is my jam.
I hope you enjoy! If you decide to make this little number, please come drop by my blog and let me know how it goes! Or you can just drop by to say hello in general, because I really really love to make friends.
Thanks for reading today, friends! And thanks, Corina, for being such a gracious host!!!
